Book a ride in Cameroon
Abaqwa is a Cameroonian on-demand ride app. You say where you are and where you are going, the app matches you with a nearby driver, and you follow the trip on the map.
The app offers several ride types: bike, auto (three-wheeler), economy, comfort, XL, and shared rides by auto or car. What is available depends on where you are, and the app shows what is possible around you.
How it works
- Open the Abaqwa app and tap “Ride”.
- Choose your pickup and drop-off points, then the ride type.
- Confirm. The app looks for a nearby driver and shows their arrival time, photo and vehicle plate.
- Follow the trip on the map until you arrive.
- You pay with your Abaqwa Wallet, or with MTN Mobile Money through QuataPay, chosen at checkout.
- If a driver cancels after accepting, the booking is cancelled and a refund request is opened for what you already paid; finance reviews it.
- Services open city by city: open the app to see what is available at your location.
